when it comes to the end of the year, i guess everyone starts recapturing old year, what they've done, what has changed and what has happened overall. to be honest, my life has changed a lot in 2015 and if somebody a year ago told me that i will live like this now, i wouldn't believe.

although i believe that every year - even every day - we are somehow improving, anyway in the beginning of the year we tend to make some bigger promises for ourselves, to make ourselves better the following year (but these not usually work, right? or is it only for me, haha?). so this time i'm trying to do the same believing that my resolutions will work. and i'm wishing the same for you - make all your resolutions come true, no matter when you start thinking about them, in January or in June.

and i also wanted to thank you, my readers, who read my blog even if my post are absolutely rare. i also wanted to thank all the people who were around me all year round, for all the support and love - i'm so happy to have you. it has been a lot grateful and perfect moments but also life is not life without those struggles and sadness. so thank you who survived everything with me - i love you all.

so 2016 are coming so fast with a lot of expectations, future adventures, obscurity and a bit of fear of what's going to happen then, because a lot has changed and even more is about to change.

i wish you all to have a beautiful N E W  Y E A R celebration, to make year of 2016 an unforgettable experience and to make your dreams and wishes come true! wish you all joy, love and happiness! xxx

INJEKCIJA 2015

IX-ąjį kartą vyksiantis konkursas „Injekcija“ kaip ir kasmet skelbė simbolinę temą, atspindinčią  šiandienos pasaulines aktualijas ir nuotaikas. Šįkart jaunųjų dizainerių darbuose bus galima įžvelgti interpretacijas kamufliažo tema. Konkursui buvo pateiktos net 62 paraiškos, 48 iš jų pateikė lietuviai ir net 16 paraiškų pateikė užsienio dizaineriai iš tokių šalių kaip Latvija, Estija, Lenkija, Baltarusija, Ukraina, Rusija, Danija, D. Britanija, Slovėnija.

„Šiuolaikinis žmogus įprato kasdien naudoti įvairias kamufliažo priemones. Taip daugelis mėgina paslėpti kūno netobulumus ar kompleksus. Norint susitapatinti su aplinka ir pranykti minioje tenka nuolat ieškoti naujų maskavimosi būdų. Drabužiai, esantys arčiausiai kūno, kiekvienam leidžia tai padaryti greitai, savitai ir įdomiai“, - renginio temą pristato festivalio „Mados infekcija“ idėjinė vadė Sandra Straukaitė.

Žuvies oda ir kiti blizgučiai

„Konkurso tema – tik sąlyginiai rėmai, padedantys jaunimui susikoncentruoti ir aiškiau išreikšti savo idėjas. Finale kiekvienas parodys po penkis modelius. Įdomu, kad dalyviai nesinaudoja jokiomis klišėmis, kuria drąsiai ir laisvai. Tradicinį kamufliažo piešinį ir spalvas interpretuoja savaip: žongliruoja kontrastais nuo blizgučių, ryškių akcentų iki įvairiaspalvių siūlų ir net žuvies odos. Kurdami unikalius raštus dizaineriai išradingai naudoja inovatyvias marginimo technologijas, kompiuterinę grafiką“, – apie kolekcijų įvairialypiškumą pasakoja festivalio „Mados infekcija“ prodiuserė Renata Mikailionytė.

Jaunieji dizaineriai temą interpretavo per skirtingas prizmes: vieni įkvėpimo sėmėsi stebėdami gyvūnų mimikriją, analizuodami optinės apgaulės subtilybes, kiti bandė prisitaikyti prie beprotišku greičiu besikeičiančios aplinkos, nagrinėjo moters ir vyro kasdienybės kaukes.

14:3 – moterys valdo, bet grįžta vyrai

„Injekcijos“ finale dalyvaus dizaineriai iš Lietuvos, Estijos ir Rusijos. Tarp finalininkų yra tarptautinių universitetų absolventų, Emanuelio Ungaro mados namų praktikantų ir atkaklių užsispyrėlių, kurie nepaisė ankstesnių nesėkmių ir konkurse dalyvauja antrus metus iš eilės.

Iš 62 dalyvavusių, į finalą pateko 17 dizainerių: Morta Nakaitė, Elžbieta Jancevič, Ernesta Venckutė, Irmantas Uvenkovas, Thom Bara, Toma Brazdžiūtė, CRAB IN CAB – Jūratė Girdvainis ir Gintarė Jankauskaitė, Viktorija Aršėnaitė, Mantas Bartkus ir Neringa Martinėnaitė, UNE’A – Unė Vereckytė, Aleksandra Kozlova (Rusija), Anastasia Novozhilova (Rusija), Anna Volkova (Rusija), Anna Jelizarjeva (Estija), Daria Babaeva (Rusija), Polina Guseva (Rusija), Barbara Vasileva (Rusija).

Kas nugalės, spręs profesionalų komisija: stilistė Karina Leontjeva, dizaineriai Lilija Larionova, Sandra Straukaitė, Kristina Kruopienytė ir Egidijus Sidaras. Finalininkų sąraše matant tris vyriškas pavardes atgimsta viltis, kad įrašas apie nykstančią rūšį Raudonojoje knygoje nebegresia.

Sintetinių spalvų dozė

Jei kamufliažas naudojamas siekiant susiniveliuoti, įsilieti į aplinką, scenografija šiemet kuriama kaip priešprieša. „Monochrominėje ir statiškoje Nacionalinės dailės galerijos erdvėje naudosime ryškias, sintetines spalvas ir medžiagas, kurios podiumą, o ir pačius modelius, nudažys netikėtais pustoniais. Žiūrovų akis maitinsime atspindžiais ir optine apgaule,“ – apie šių metų erdves pasakoja festivalio scenografė Rūta Bagdzevičiūtė. 

Dešimtmečio išvakarės

„Injekcija“ – 2008-aisiais startavęs naujų mados talentų paieškos konkursas. Iki šiol sulaukta virš 700 jaunųjų dizainerių paraiškų, atrinkti daugiau kaip 135 finalistai. Būtent „Injekcijoje“ pirmą kartą sužibėjo, o dabar sėkmingai skinasi kelią tokie dizaineriai kaip Ugnė Martinaitytė, duetas „PURE“, Liucija Kvašytė, „labàdienà“, Ieva Daugirdaitė, Diana Paukštytė, Eglė Žiemytė bei daugelis kitų.

CANON N2 POWERSHOT

this little friend has spent the whole summer with me. people from canon were amazingly friendly to me for giving me this camera to try and to bring it to london as well. as a selfie lover myself, i found its tilting screen the best and favourite feature. you can just tilt the screen 180 degrees and actually see your face in it! what is more, it was so easy to take this camera wherever i went because of its portable size. so it is really convenient for traveling and capturing every moment of the trip.
it also has some cool modes such as self-portrait or toy camera. my favourite was definitely toy camera mode! i love hight because everything from there looks completely different. and this mode makes all the houses and the whole city look like from the model, like a toy city or something like that. i love it! and it is also perfect for vlogging as you can make videos with that (actually, my summer movie is coming so it will be some videos filmed with N2)!
although the pictures not always looked like taken with professional camera as i wished, i still fell in love with canon N2. here you can find more comments from the real photographer side, as i'm just a basic user, i told you what i think from my point of view, haha. i would love to have this camera myself and i'm really suggesting you trying canon N2!

INJEKCIJA 2015

Festivalis „Mados infekcija“ jau devintą kartą ieško naujų talentų ir kviečia dizainerius dalyvauti konkurse „Injekcija“. Konkurso dalyviai varžosi dėl galimybės kartu su žymiais Lietuvos ir užsienio dizaineriais pristatyti savo kolekciją ant „Mados infekcijos“ podiumo 2016 metų pavasarį. Šių metų konkurso tema – kamufliažas.

Konkurse „Injekcija“ kviečiami dalyvauti tie profesionalūs dizaineriai ir studentai, kurių darbai dar nebuvo pristatyti „Mados infekcijoje“. Apie ketinimą dalyvauti konkurse būtina pranešti raštu iki rugsėjo 25 d. festivalio “Mados infekcija” interneto svetainėje nurodyta tvarka, o pirmuosius dalyvių eskizus konkurso komisija norės pamatyti spalio 16 dieną.

„Įvairias kamufliažo [pranc. camouflage — maskavimas] priemones šiuolaikinis žmogus pratęs naudoti kasdien: kad paslėptų plikę, randus, kūno netobulumus ir kompleksus. Norint susitapatinti ir pranykti minioje reikia ieškoti vis naujų būdų. Būtent drabužiai, esantys arčiausiai kūno, kiekvienam leidžia tai padaryti greitai, savitai ir įdomiai“, - apie šių metų konkurso „Injekcija“ temą sako festivalio „Mados infekcija“ idėjinė vadė Sandra Straukaitė.

Konkurso dalyvių paraiškas ir idėjas vertins festivalio suburta profesionalų komisija. Ji paskelbs konkurso „Injekcija“ finalistus, kurie po penkis įgyvendintus savo kolekcijos modelius turės pristatyti Nacionalinėje dailės galerijoje 2015 m. gruodžio 10 dieną vyksiančiame „Injekcijos“ finale.

„Injekcija“ – 2008 metais užgimęs naujų mados pasaulio talentų paieškos konkursas. Per septynerius gyvavimo metus jis yra sulaukęs beveik 370 jaunųjų dizainerių paraiškų, atrinkęs daugiau kaip 70 finalistų ir atradęs dabar jau žinomus dizainerius – Ievą Daugirdaitę, Dianą Paukštytę, Eglę Žiemytę, kūrybinį susivienijimą „labàdienà“, Dianą Kuzmickaitę ir Aušrą Urbanavičiūtę, Mariją Popadničenko, Dainių Bendiką ir Beną Staškauską bei daugelį kitų.

LIVING IN LONDON

hello, lovelies! first of all, sorry for being gone for almost a month. just life in london is unstoppable and time here runs so unbelievably fast. here it's possible to experience so many things during one day that i just can't imagine what would happen if i stayed longer in this city. and with my best friend Vaiva, we still can't believe that every day can bring something unexpected. like completely unexpected. things like almost causing fire in the restaurant or at home, being trapped in the toilet and  needing to climb through a window on the fourth floor, changing 4 living places per 1,5 month, breaking a lot of glasses at work, staying until late nights or, i'd better say, early mornings in the city. yes, we felt that crazy spirit of london and we love it. it's hard to believe that only two weeks left as we don't want to leave this city yet.
today i want to share some pictures of london life from my instagram - just in case you haven't seen them. and in the end of summer i am planning to create a london movie! hopefully my plans will get to reality! x

DRESS AND SNEAKERS

hey hey hey guys! how are you?i want to show you an outfit which i wore when i was in lithuania. you already know about my leg trauma and the main thing is that i can’t show the burnt places in the sun. pretty sad - all summer without sunbathing…
anyways, when styling, i need to find leg covering alternatives too. i bought some men socks from h&m for that, because i don’t want to wear long trousers everyday in the summer. so i styled these socks with sneakers and my beloved h&m dress which is perfect for summer (you've already seen that dress in my granatos festival outfit).

POSTCARDS FROM VILNIUS

have you ever flew a hot air balloon? i did it while i was still in my homeland. now it's so nice to remember that trip. if you want to romantic and beautiful evening - you really need to fly a balloon! for me it was such a beautiful, calm and amusing flight. you know, for me, as an aviation lover, every flight is like that. but this one was different, mainly because it was my first time, i guess. 

also i got a canon N2 camera to use for a whole summer. and this camera has a miniature effect which is great for taking picture of the city from high. so here we go with some postcards of vilnius old town for you!

promise you, that very soon i will show you something from my lovely london! xxx

BEAUTY BOX by GROŽIO DRAUGAS

when i got an email with an offer to try "THE BEAUTY BOX"  from groziodraugas.lt i was really excited and happy that lithuanians started doing things like that! and when it arrived - omg - it was more than exciting. a box full full full of cosmetics with such a nice smell which filled up all my room. definitely one of the best things that i got during my blog career, haha!

 so this is what i basically got in the box - some small but really nice things to try. 

 beauty blender - when i saw this, i was so so so so so happy! for a long time i wanted to buy this but somehow i never got an opportunity to do that. anyway, this little cutie came to me itself. ant what i can say - it was really worth waiting because this is a really good thing, it blends all the make up on the face and makes it look smooth and flawless. on the other hand, it takes a while to wash it but i don't care, i love it anyways. 

 you & oil handmade soap -  i have never tried you & oil product before but the first impression after trying this soap was really good. it smells delicious and leaves the skin smooth and nice after washing. it is even better that it's handmade - so obviously it is a really worth-trying product. and i also like the package - it's minimal but eye-catching.

 avril le vernis nail polish - even though i'm not such a huge fan of orange colour, this nail polish had that nice orange shade which is perfect for summer and really fits tanned skin (which i won't be having this summer, arghhh). two coats on your nails and here we go to the streets of hot summer.

uoga uoga morning beauty ritual set - i also wanted to try uoga uoga cosmetics for a long time as i heard lots and lots good things about these products. finally i have an opportunity and i can say that people don't lie about uoga uoga. i can tell only one bad thing - this set is too small for me, i want more, haha! this set contains of four pieces, step by step: 'moon dew' which cleans and relaxes the skin, 'lost flamingo' which moisturises and makes the skin smooth and healthy, 'peachy' natural blush powder with amber which gives light and warm rosy shade to the cheeks and 'handful of sun' a nouirishing hand creme which softens hand skin without making it sticky. when i will be back home i will definitely buy some more products from uoga uoga cosmetics. you should try this too for sure.

l'occitane pivoine flora hand creme - there is not much to say about l'occitane cosmetics. i always loved and always will be loving their products. this hand creme is not an exception, it smoothens and softens hands leaving a gentle flowery scent of peonies on them. lovely!

avon luxe 'designer red' lipstick. this was also one of my favourite things to find in a beauty box. as a lipstick addict who loves red shades the most, i can tell this is definitely that perfect red colour. oh, i don't like it, i love it. 

di palomo hand & body lotion. i guess that the beauty box had such an intensive smell because of this lotion. it also feels really nice and tender on the skin, but that smell! oh, really really good! it's all natural so this is even better.

and unfortunately, there are some product which i didn't have an opportunity to try. really sad but i couldn't take them with me to London. anyway, i have no doubt that they are worth trying and as soon  as i come back home i will see how they work! there are 'makeness' lavender hidrolate, 'monoi' jasmine oil and two testers: 'you & oil' oil for sensitive skin and 'ahava' hand creme.

L'OREAL MAKE UP GENIUS APP

some time ago we were invited to l’oreal event. this one was quite interesting, because here they showed not a new cosmetics line or something like that but an app. this app - makeup genius - is a real innovation and really fun and interesting app to use. here you can see how make up looks on your face, you can try loads of different products in a minute. if you’re looking for something and don’t have time for trying all the lipstick colours or all the mascaras, this app is for you. or maybe you just want to have some fun with your face, haha. for me, it’s like a game. you put some make up on your face and move, make expressions and that make up stays in the places of the face where it supposed to be. it’s a technology that scans the main points of the face and adapts to facial expressions. i’ve tried this app for the first time at the event and had lots of laugh! you should try it too! it works even on boys and it’s even more fun, hahaha, but my guys didn’t want me to show their make ups here, sorry :( but i can tell that they look like drag queens or cute girls, haha!have a look what i have done with my face:

and of course, we got some gifts from l’oreal’s new line. quality cosmetics and great colours - what can be better? this lipstick is definitely my new love.

GRANATOS LIVE

festivalių sezonas jau taip arti, o tu dar neišsirinkai, ką norėsi dėvėti festivalio metu? į pagalbą atskuba Granatų festivalio komanda su blogeriais! prie Granatų festivalio aprangos kūrimo prisidėjau ir aš. po labai smagios fotosesijos kartu su dvynėmis Eva ir Laura, fotografe Step Draw ir visažiste Justina iš Maybelline New York, pagaliau viešiname mūsų sukurtus rūbų derinius. tikiuosi, kad patiks ir įkvėps festivalio dvasią!

festivalio apranga neabejotinai turi būti patogi, tačiau papildomos įdomios detalės tik į naudą! šiame derinyje naudojau ilgą trikotažinę suknelę, kuri tikrai nevaržo judesių šokant pagal mėgstamiausią muziką. Taip pat pridėjau sunkesnius doctor marten’s batus. juk nesinori numindytų kojų – o šie batai neabejotinai atlaikys ne tik mindymą, bet ir purvą ar nesibaigiančius šokius. ilgesnės baltos kojinės kartu tik suteiks papildomo žavesio. taip pat nepamiršau aksesuarų – daug žiedų ant pirštų, pakabukas bei akiniai nuo saulės, kurie, ko gero, yra vienas svarbiausių aksesuarų festivalio metu. jei oras vėsus arba norisi šokti iki ryto, patariu pasiimti džinsinį švarkelį, kuris ne tik atrodo puikiai, bet ir padeda nesušalti.

turbūt kiekvienas festivalių veteranas pasakys, kad džinsiniai šortai ir guminiai ilgaauliai yra neatsiejama festivalio dalis. būtent šiuos atributus ir rinkausi. niekada negali žinoti, koks oras laukia, todėl guminiai batai gelbėja visose situacijose. taip pat pridėjau smagią amerikietiško stiliaus palaidinę, kuri atrodo puikiai su visokiais drabužiais – ir džinsais, ir šortais, ir sijonais! žinoma, čia įdomus aksesuaras tiesiog būtinas, todėl šiame derinyje rinkausi auskarus su juodomis plunksnomis, kurie neabejotinai puikiai dera prie festivalio dvasios.
